A recent transaction has the highly popular domain and website LongIsland.com in the hands of some new owners with big plans.

Owned by Massachusetts based IT service provider mintSHIFT Technologies, LongIsland.com has been providing a wide array of local news, events, and information to Long Island residents and visitors alike since 1996. In addition to being a popular website, LongIsland.com boasts strong branding and top level domain value.
With over 12 years of project development experience, Internet Point CEO and native Long Islander Ralph Cristello sensed the opportunity of a lifetime when he discovered that LongIsland.com might be for sale. Having a massive portfolio of domains in addition to experience with highly successful web ventures in the past, Internet Point seemed to be the most logical landing place for LongIsland.com to Cristello.
